When Andrew first stepped into the studio, he had a simple goal: to become a little more flexible. “I just could never get beyond my knees to touch my toes,” he joked. But what happened next surprised both him and his wife, Jan.

“I came with him for support,” Jan shared. “I’ve always been more flexible, so I thought—why not? We’ll do this together.” That small choice to join in quickly turned into a new routine that brought them even closer, both physically and emotionally.

Two weeks in, Andrew walked into the kitchen and said, “Look what I can do.” He could touch the floor for the first time in decades. Jan’s response? “I was amazed. After 40 years of marriage, I’d never seen that!”

Building a Lifestyle, Not Just a Practice

At first, yoga was just something they tried once a week. Now, Jan and Andrew are practising three to five times weekly. “It’s part of our life now,” they say.
