After 15 days in beautiful Bali we return rejuvenated, inspired and maybe a little more flexible! We have traveled to Bali a number of times over the past 10 years (mainly due to Dustin’s surfing) however this trip was in a league of its own. Our first stop was in Padang Bai (east Bali) where we both completed an intensive teacher training in acroyoga. ACROVINYASA is a style of yoga that combines a solo Vinyasa practice, inversion training and acroyoga.

This training was a chance for us to connect, grow, and delve deep into our own practice. And I have to admit, being at an intensive training with an amazing group of embodied yogis was overwhelming at first. The mind starts to journey off into comparison mode ‘I’m not flexible enough’, ‘My arms are too short for this pose’ ‘I don’t think I’ll ever be able to do a perfect handstand‘ and the list goes on. Until… I realized, the quieter the mind becomes, the more I can hear. A light bulb moment for me. I was and I am exactly where I need to be. I became comfortable with where I was in my practice both on my mat and on someone’s feet. I realized that I have years upon years to learn, grow and inevitably, fall. As our teachers say, if you’re having fun, you’re doing it right! And I have to say it was 11 days of pure joy. We had an amazing time on the training, we met beautiful people, we laughed, we cried, we fell over, we got back up and we left with an abundance of love in our hearts.

For us, following our bliss is something we have always done intuitively.  However the ACROVINYASA practice reminded us to be more aware of our actions and reactions both on and off the yoga mat. We completed our trip with 5 days in yoga heaven otherwise know as Ubud. Numerous hours were spent between Yoga Barn and all the phenomenal vegan and vegetarian yogi hot spots. Pure bliss right?!

Our passion for yoga and the different styles is forever evolving and we’re thrilled to share this new style of yoga with you. Dustin and I will be co-teaching ACROVINYASA classes every Friday night with classes starting this Friday 22nd April at 6.30pm – 7.45pm. So come play, evolve and fly with us! If you’re curious and have never tried this style before, the one thing we can promise you is that you will have fun!


Take your yoga from earth to air! Uniting elements of vinyasa, inversion training and acroyoga, this practice cultivates trust and community. Inspired by traditional yoga asanas and L-based acrobatic flying, classes include a solo vinyasa warm up, partner inversion practice and acroyoga.

The element of inversion training will be broken down into a workshop style class to allow you to ask questions and progress your inversion practice. We will delve into crow, headstand, tripod headstand, forearm-stand, handstand and other awesome variations.

The acroyoga component combines three key roles – the base (supports the flyer), the flyer (moves through the air in a series of yoga postures) and the spotter (who makes sure both base and flyer remain safe and properly aligned). You will get the chance to rotate through all three roles.

This class focuses on building strength, finding balance and offers a dynamic expansion beyond your solo practice. It’s also a whole lot of fun!

This is a LEVEL 1 ACROVINYASA™ class and suitable for those with a beginner to intermediate practice. No partner necessary; just be ready to play and challenge yourself in a whole different way.
