01 Jun Recipes We Love Right Now
We love getting into the kitchen and creating something delicious. We love it when that something can be healthy at the same time. As the weather starts to get a little on the colder side here in Melbourne, we’re moving away from smoothies and salads and looking for warmer meals to keep us fueled and warm. Here are two of our favourite recipes you can make today. One sweet and one savoury, because we believe that’s how life should be. Balanced.
Chocolate Mug Cake from Real Food Healthy Body
There’s nothing quite like a chocolate pudding in the middle of winter. This version from Lilian from Real Food Healthy Body uses some delicious and nourishing ingredients to create a mug size treat that you can create in literally a few minutes. It’s nut free, dairy free, vegan, low FODMAP, as well as low gluten (she uses oats).
You chuck all the ingredients together in a mug, put it in the microwave, and cook it for just under two minutes. Top with your favourite things and dig in. As simple and delicious as that.

Thai Carrot and Coconut Soup by George Eats
Soup is always a good idea in Winter. This soup from Georgia over at George Eats is packed with all the things that help to keep winter blues and colds at bay – think garlic, ginger, carrots, coconut, chilli, and lemongrass. She also outlines a fructose free version of the recipe for those who don’t make friends with garlic and onion.
We love to make a big batch to have on hand when we’re feeling cold and cosy.
